Pubbles Network was created to fill a gap in coverage of Network groups in Sussex. We were founded on May 19th, 2009 at 2nd Worthing's HQ. At our inaugural meeting we had eight would be members and two District staff (DDC and DSNL).

So why Pubbles for a name, two reasons really.

One - being a costal district we wanted a name that had some reflection on the sea, and after quite a long time of random words we came up with pebbles.

Two - now we had thought of something that everyone agreed upon, we decided it wasn't strange enough so we decided to combine it with other words which relate to our age group, and some how we ended up at pub and once combined out came Pubbles.
Within the first six months of our existence our members had attended two national Network events.

Pubbles members are Adult leaders, Ex-Explorer Scouts and those without any previous scouting experience, We are open to anyone in the age range 17½ to 25 years old, all we ask is that you are looking for adventure.

We have a wide and varied programme designed by the members themselves, with chances to do anything from the humble hike to Skiing in the Alps or Backpacking through the Americas.

As part of the Scout Family we are supported by thousands of people and in-turn we support those very same people.
